Idea Generation 

SITE

Choosing a site to fit design is one of the most critical steps. Sign of Mitsubishi Motors inspired me, so I put my design towards the stairs and the three trapezoids form a pleasing shape. 

Keywords 

"Curvation", "Hierarchy" and "Wideness"

Pulsar wave is an idea of the materialisation 9. Waves have more spaces than lines because they can take more space from other lines. Then I created stairs to show the wave in different levels. For balancing the plaza with my design, I was trying to shape and colour my design as a terrace. Lots of plants are surrounding Henry Deane plaza so green colour can make design blend into the environment of the plaza and has a connection with these plants.

Research

TKTS is located in Time Square, NYC. This design is similar to mine, then I took some inspirations from this architecture. 

In my original iteration, my design's underneath is empty. However, TKTS inspires me, and I made available room in the design. The next problem is what is this space used for.  Henry Deane Plaza is close to bus stop and central station, and lots of people go through here. Therefore, making an information service centre is a good choice. people can ask for routing help and events inquiry.

In the evening or night, this area must be dark, so I make some led lights in the stair, then people still can use this sitting place when it is dark.
